Sidewalk Along Jalan Setiabudi Selatan Misused as Illegal Parking

The sidewalk alongside Jalan Setiabudi Selatan, precisely behind Duta Tower, Setiabudi, South Jakarta is misused as illegal parking of motorcycles. As a result, pedestrian passing the road are disrupted.

Based on Beritajakarta.com observations, hundreds of motorcycles were parked neatly filling the sidewalk even on the roadside without leaving any space for pedestrians. There were visibly 3 parking attendant organizing it.

"I hope it to be controlled, if the sidewalk used as parking lot, where are pedestrians supposed to walk?," hoped Siska (28), one of employees in Kuningan, Tuesday (12/15).

Head of Supervision and Controlling Section for South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Slamet Dahlan stated that his sub-department will follow up the matter.

"The illegal parking will be controlled. I will coordinate with the local sub-district head," he stated.
